Vehicle Description 1957 Chevrolet Two-Ten Four-Door Sedan For Sale In Minot, North Dakota 58701 Are you ready for the SLEEPER OF THE CENTRY? This is a 1957 Chevy two ten 4 door sedan.
Looks normal, except for some of the details.
Such as the drivetrain.
It has a brand-new GM 502 crate motor.
The transmission is a 4L60E with a Moser rear end and Strange axles.
I bought it in Grand Forks, ND and the project was started by a fellow who, in the middle of this build, passed away.
I bought it in 1000 pieces.
After sorting through things, I realized the quality of the workmanship that had been done to that point.
It was in primer.
The firewall and front splash pan were painted a darker maroon color, so this told me what he was preparing to do.
The engine, transmission, rear end, exhaust and some interior parts (the seats) were all done.
It had the brakes started, but not completed.
The wheels and tires were on the car when I got it.
No wiring, no other interior parts completed, and, well, it was just ready for the next steps.
I ordered all new parts for it.
The bumpers, emblems, weatherstripping, interior parts, grille, the brake components and such.
It is set up for A/C with condenser and compressor, but it is not hooked up to anything.
I picked the color 'Burnished-Brandywine--pearl for the exterior color of the car.
It is a great paint job with the difference in color that attracts attention wherever it goes.
I picked classic Instruments gauges and even their quartz clock.
The dash and interior garnish moldings have a satin luster instead of gloss.
In the sun, driving with the dash done that way, does not reflect in any way.
It hosts Classic Instruments gauges that all work.
And a Quarts clock.
We have wired in a circuit breaker by the battery for any lengthened storage, but I've not had it turned off for many months and the battery does not run down.
I installed ALL new glass.
It has a nice tint to it and there is nothing like new glass in a restored car.
It also has new weatherstrip and 'fuzzies' along all the windows.
It has a blue-tooth stereo that hooks up to any component for a sound that is tremendous.
It has power steering and power brakes with drums in the rear and disc in the front.
It'll stop on a dime! I am not really a 'Big Block' guy, but this car, with the engine, exhaust, tranny and rear end---well it is just tremendous.
The power is phenomenal and who would guess that this 4 door sedan--not even a Bel Air, would be this nice.
I said the seats were done with a brown tweed type material, so we matched that with a nice black headliner and carpet.
The door panel material was matched to the seats and then custom pleated.
The stainless on the doors is off of a '57 Bel Air for just the right classy look.
New arm rests.
There is absolutely no rust in the car.
The chassis has been re-enforced along the bottom and the A-Arms are welded and filled in (they are the stock ones) for super support and strength.
The suspension is all set for the power it has.
It has nice, solid sway bars on the front and rear.
The underbody is done to a great detail too.
It has not been driven in the rain, so it is very nice both top and bottom.
This car was completed in 2022, so I will state that it is a fresh build.
Fly in and drive it home, anywhere in the country.
As they say, you can never build one cheaper than you can buy one all done.
NOTE:
I finished this car and got the license plate 'DARELL' in honor of the gentleman that had this dream.
After completion of his car, I trailered it over to a show and we unveiled it to his widow, his son and stepson.
Tears did flow a bit.
