The purpose of this job is to conduct demand planning for conventional Drilling Systems spares globally and load manufacturing with a forecast in anticipation of Regions demand. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Planner
Responsibilities:
Monitor demand of conventional Drilling Systems spares at selected AMO facilities
Estimate future demand for spares using field demand files (Inventory Optimization Tool), current consumption and feedback from Operations
Use forecast accuracy and S&OP leading indicators to adjust future demand
Load demand for selected parts in SAP and monitor forecast consumption
Monitor inventory of spares, adjust forecasts accordingly and provide reports on inventory, trends and demand changes
Review and monitor SLOB (slow moving obsolete inventory)
Optimize inventory by netting parts globally for full utilization of global inventory
Communicate with AMO on inventory requirements and activity to prevent tools down in repair
Buyer
Responsibilities:
Places orders for varieties of materials/supplies.
May select and negotiate with approved vendors.
Has authority to commit company to purchases within approved guidelines.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree preferred, and 2 years applicable experience.
Intermediate to advanced levels experience with MS Office; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Good communication skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
Good analytical skills.
Ability to perform data analysis and build reports
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or similar focus, are highly desired.
We will consider professionals who have 3-5 years of buying and planning experience within in the oil and gas industry.
Prior SAP/APO experience is highly desired.
Professional purchasing or supply chain certification preferred.
