POSITION SUMMARY
This position will work directly with the Bakken Well Factory Planning and Execution teams providing project cost control and finance support. The position will functionally report to the Bakken Well Factory Finance Manager.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for performing well cost control and reviewing well reconciliations for the Bakken Well Factory comprising of Drilling, Completions and Facilities.
Work closely with the Well Factory teams and Global Supply Chain to monitor and control AFE spending, review daily field cost estimates, drive PR/PO and invoice coding accuracy.
Prepare and consolidate information used for the monthly well AFE. Gather monthly AFE information from the value streams, prepare slide deck, and WBS creation template for submission.
Work closely with Accenture Drilling Accounting team in Bangalore and San Antonio to reduce rework, improve quality and reduce cycle time.
Participate in improvement initiatives that meet project requirements and shift emphasis from historic review to real-time and exception-based review.
Prepare monthly First Spend and capital forecast along with variance commentary.
Provide support to drive time writing compliance.
Coordinate close out of PR/PO and AFE.
Provide support during annual budget season.
Interact and assist the project team or the wider Bakken finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis and special research as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in E&P Accounting/Finance.
Experience in Audit is highly desirable.
Experience in Supply Chain particularly in contract management will be considered.
Strong analytical skills.
Knowledge of well construction process.
Strong oil & gas finance/accounting skills.
Working knowledge of Procure-to-Pay process.
Proficiency in Excel and SAP.
Strong business partnering skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to new work processes, procedures, and/or requirements.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage deadlines.
Highly motivated and a self-starter.
Education, Training & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related Business Administration field preferred.
