POSITION SUMMARY
The Supplier Self Service position will be located in Minot, North Dakota and be a part of the Hess E&P Global Supply Chain (GSC) Team working in P2P. This position will work closely with team members to deliver significant value to the E&P organization by providing suppliers on-boarding guidance, support, and communications. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver tasks on time in a dynamic, fast moving, and deadline driven environment. Candidate shall have the ability to see and understand the proper P2P process from end-to-end, effectively considering the impact each step has on successive steps and communicate issues upward.
ROLES &
Responsibilities:
Provide local support and guidance resolving issues by using expert, in-depth knowledge of the Hess eCommerce process and system
Provide supplier training as it relates to Hess unique business processes
Assist eCommerce-enabled suppliers with error resolution in their daily business of receiving POs and creating eInvoices and credit memos
Must be able to apply a deep understanding of Hess' Procure-to-Pay processes
Grow and nurture a Hess eCommerce Suppliers network.
Establish and work towards achieving organizational and individual performance goals and objectives and individual development
Possess ability to problem solve tasks independently
Manage and maintain vendor accounts to be in compliance with agreed pay terms
Miscellaneous reporting and spreadsheet preparation
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
SAP proficient
Minimum three (3) years of administrative or accounts payable experience
Accounts Payable experience with an industrial background, preferred
Lean Manufacturing experience/certification, preferred
Ability to identify potential downstream issues resulting from the data input into a given transaction. Can view and understand any given transaction as a part of the overall process, not a singular step or event and recognizes the need for consistency in transactions and can work accordingly
Able to identify and implement new or better ways of doing things in order to raise levels of performance against goals set by manager. Makes specific changes in the system or work process (does things faster, more efficiently etc.) to achieve performance improvements and is willing to learn from past experience in order to achieve improved results
Demonstrate a broad range of influencing tactics in order to gain support for a specific agenda including: being able to use facts and data, rational, researching alternatives, and identifying pros and con s
