We are currently seeking an I&E; Designer for a prominent E&P; based in Houston, TX. A global Operator, our client specializes in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas.
The I&E; Designer is primarily responsible for establishing design criteria for assigned phase of a project requiring the application of basic engineering principles, material properties, and a familiarity with construction, installation, and maintenance procedures.
Other responsibilities include:
Preparing detail and layout drawings and sketches of unusual, complex, or original designs requiring the application of theoretical and practical engineering knowledge.
Reviewing manufacturers' and/or fabricators' prints for conformance with contract specifications.
Providing lower-level design/drafting personnel with design sketches for preparation of finished design drawings, general layouts, and guidance in refining technical requirements.
Supporting field assignments and may lead field walkdowns as required.
Checking work assigned to lower-level design/drafting personnel.
Interfaces with other departments, clients, vendors, and project specialists in order to support project production.
Performing other related tasks in support of project specialist, such as writing procedures and specifications, compiling and computing engineering data, estimating, etc.
Providing help with certain administrative tasks, such as determining manpower requirements, establishing drawing schedules, assigning tasks to lower-level design/drafting personnel, etc.
Providing conceptual input to projects during the planning stages.
Preparing moderately-difficult to difficult engineering and construction drawings for a complete phase of a project, utilizing manual and computer-assisted drafting/design techniques. In most cases, only minimal information and very rough sketches are provided.
Performing discipline design tasks which regularly require the application of fundamental engineering concepts and mathematical formulas.
Reviewing manufacturers' and/or fabricators' prints for conformance with contract specifications.
Performing routine checking and/or verification tasks.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
